not quite....there are a very few hospitals that will take people without insurance (and illegals---) and guess who gets to pay for them????? the TAX payers!! (you can not be denied health care if you dont have insurance, and if you dont have any money the county/state/etc will foot the bill).
so yeah, if you have insurance you will get billed until you either pay it, declare bankruptcy or run out of cash ....if you dont then you----well, others get to pay for you.

there are tons of jobs that offer no insurance---fast food, service industry (wait staff), temp jobs--until you work there a year+, etc....and its expensive!

its a racket in this country. insurance should be a NOT FOR PROFIT company, yet its for profit and all they care about is their, yes, profits!! ( and NOT their insureds).

Oh geez, now I'm pantless...

Ehm anyways, one of the nice things about my job at the moment is we do have good insurance. Not that I really ever go to the doctor. I'll need to go when I get back to get my prescription renewed but other than that, I only really use insurance to make my prescription cost less.

Oh hai guise! I'm back from visiting my fiancee. Was a lot of fun. Was a bit worried yesterday when my first flight got delayed, knowing I had to make a connection at the next airport. Was looking bad but luckily I got where I needed to be in time and I am back at my place. Thank goodness for that.

yeah connections arent very fun---when I used to fly to florida (to see my mom) I learned to NOT take delta and NOT go thru atlanta ----they would CANCEL ALL of the flights to the west side of florida and leave you there until the next day! (never will I fly delta again if fly I must!)

yeah--there are quite a few mods gone (for one reason or another)

Ya I have heard Delta is not good to fly with. I always fly American. I guess they take care of you if you miss a connection due to them. Luckily I didn't.

lol, yeah we get those all the time (you should see the groups I get!)....and yes, since you were not here--someone else took care of them....that's how it works (usually).

well at least the temps are back to a more seasonal level (no 100+ reported ...90's are normal).

and yes, monday is fish night...made steamed salmon with a sweet and sour sauce over some veggies (trying to get hubby to eat some other veggies--had brusssssel sprouts mixed them into the green pepper and garlic mix).

so thats work, food, and weather...guess I am done for the day

actually for mid july 100 in the middle of the country IS normal...100 in MAY is not. (just check what the record for your area is on this date).

that's the good thing with living in such a small country, it takes like 5 hours to get from 1 end to the other.

Ya, it took my 4 hours to fly home (not counting layovers and such. Would have taken me 21 hours had I driven. :/

Avg for July is 86... Past high was 101. Current high is 102. Awesomesauce.

so 100 is not unheard of in july for the middle of nowhere usa....

yeah, traveling from one end to the other of the usa will take you plenty of hours (more if you count hawaii and alaska)....never done it but its like 6? hours flying from new york to la non-stop ...driving??? er uhm.....took us 38 to drive from chicago to portland (or)....16 from chicago to philly (back when I was doing tons of driving)....chicago to tampa--25 hours.
you can get across a few states in 5 hours (smaller ones)...will take you 6 to get from wisconsin to the southern tip of illinois! (think its only 4 to get across iowa).
5 hours wont get you very far here.

Fron my house in Massachusetts to my aunt's house in NorthernCalifornia(Oregon Border) is about 3100 miles and 50 hours driving time. It's 95 and high humidty today but a cool front is coming through tomorrow afternoon and then it will 4 or 5 days of low 80's and no humidity.
